These metals are magnesium (it is a stress reducing element), iron (a metal that can improve the circulatory system), calcium (a substance that is vital for the correct development and maintenance of our bone structure). Of course, one may say that all these minerals, all these valuable substances can be replaced by daily vitamins. However, it is not advised to do so - not by us, but by medical doctors. This method of purifying water uses a huge amount of liquid in order to produce a small amount of clean water. In order to penetrate the semi-permeable membrane, water must be forced into it. And, in order to do that. A huge amount of liquid is necessary. However, because the membrane is not totally permeable, much of that water is lost during the process - when using 4 gallons of tap water, you obtain only one gallon of uncontaminated water. The last drawback we would like to mention is that residential reverse osmosis systems can pollute the environment. The reverse osmosis systems residential is noxious for the environment because all the water that does not pass through the membrane and all the particles that remain attached to the same filter are poured back into the phreatic sheet. This way, the quantity of impurities from the rest of the water is dangerously increased. When this liquid will come into our homes (and will eventually reach our homes) it shall be very difficult to clear all its impurities. Therefore, when looking for a water purifying system, you should avoid at all costs the reverse osmosis ones.
